Established in the year 1977, Tinsukia English Academy marks the beginning of English Medium Schools at Tinsukia. A small town in the North-East State of India, Assam. A handful of Rotarian visionaries, dreamt of establishing a standard English Medium school that would pursue CBSE curriculum in the true letter and spirit. On an auspicious day, in the office of respected Kishori Lal Thard, Rotarians Anjan Kumar Mazumdar, Kisori Lal Thard, Daya Ram Agarwal, Sanwar Mal Agarwal, O.P. Sharma, Hari Prasad Jalan, N. K. Shah and I. S. Sahni gave the concept a shape. It was I. S. Sahni who christened the school as Tinsukia English Academy.
In a later stage, a Society was registered under the banner of Tinsukia English Academy Society, which was headed by the Founder President Murari Lal Rasiwasia. The school was affiliated under Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi in the year 1991 and the first batch of the All India Secondary School Examination candidates appeared with cent percent success. Since then, the school has been keeping good pace to march ahead with extraordinary academic result, co-curricular and socio-cultural activites.
The school was upgraded to Senior Secondary Level in 2011, with all the streams : Arts, Science and Commerce and produced excellent results in succession.
Tinsukia English Academy is a student-friendly institution where the teacher student relation is based on ideal understanding and cooperation. Corporal and other humiliating punishments are prohibited in the school. A dedicated batch of quality teachers assist the children from Nursery to Class XII to develop their all-round personalities and to grow upto successful and useful citizens of the country.
The school at present is housed in a leased building with limited space; but soon it is going to enhance its enrolment and add new infrastructure, equipped with the latest educational technology.
The school is committed to social responsibilities and as such its main objective is not only academic excellencies, but exploring the human resources to the optimum benefit of the society. It sincerely and honestly looks forward to create better humans, and is committed to achieve this goal.
